Reflections relies heavily on the artist’s invented narrative, imbuing the work with the sense of arriving at a decisive moment.

As consistent with her approach, Smith reveals little about the story but offers “I love the beauty of lost and found objects. Every little object found is connected to memory, whether you are connected to those memories or not. The found objects and the figure come together to tell a small story. It is not necessarily my story I want you to see, but a part of your story, found and reflected back.”
